The privacy policy explains how we collect and use the data obtained during your visit to and use of this website. We recommend that you read this privacy notice carefully.

The development of the content and operation of the website is an ongoing, continuously changing and evolving process. The operators may decide to change the terms of the privacy policy in the future without prior notice, for example in order to improve the user experience or to maintain legal compliance. Your use of the website or of the materials accessed through the website constitutes, at the time of your use, your consent to our privacy statement. This privacy policy is published on this website.

Websites covered by this privacy notice

The following are covered by this privacy policy: inspiredacoustics.com, including its subdomains, and entel.hu, including its subdomains. In addition to the websites associated with this Policy, this notice also applies to the Inspired Acoustics Developer Portal and the Inspired Acoustics Reseller Portal.

Our websites may contain links to other websites; the information practices and content of such websites are governed by the privacy statements of those websites. We recommend that you review the privacy statements of such websites in order to understand their information practices.

Data controllers and data processors

A data controller is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

A data processor is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which processes personal data on behalf of the data controller.

For most of the personal data we process, we are both data controller and data processor, but in certain cases only data processor. At the end of this policy you will find a separate list of the data processors and data controllers.

Information provided by you

We may request and collect personal data about you, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and certain related information such as your company name, tax number, your website name (etc.), when you register an account for one or more of our services. By voluntarily providing this information, you undertake that you are the owner of this personal data or that you otherwise have the necessary permission to provide it to us. In addition, we may request and collect personal data about you on the pages of the websites or through the use of the interactive features of the websites, including participation in surveys, contests, promotions, communications requiring customer service or otherwise.

Types of information collected

Personal data

In this Policy, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, a number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. The use of information collected through our Service is limited to the purpose of providing the Service. We use personal data in order to better understand and better serve your needs and interests. You may request information about our websites, subscribe to mailing lists, participate in online discussions, collaborate on documents, provide feedback, submit information for registration, register for events, apply for membership, etc. The personal data provided on these pages may include name, address, telephone number, email address, user ID, passwords and billing information. We do not store credit card data.

Members-only pages

Information provided in our members-only applications and websites may be used to create a member profile, and some of this information may be shared with the operators' staff in compliance with the legal rules on data protection. The data you provide on members-only pages may be made available to other members in order to encourage and facilitate collaboration, research and the free exchange of information, but we expressly prohibit members from using this data to send unsolicited commercial emails. The operators' staff may be automatically added to the operators' mailing lists concerning system messages, and may subscribe to the operators' commercial mailing lists. Certain discounts or downloads may be available only to members, or may be subject to newsletter subscription or other conditions, of which we shall inform you as appropriate. From time to time, member information may be shared with event organisers and/or other organisations that provide additional benefits to members, subject to their prior consent. By providing your personal data in connection with membership, you expressly consent to our storing, processing and handling your data in the manner described above for this purpose.

Non-personal data

Non-personal data is data and information derived from usage operations that is not directly linked to a particular identity. The operators may collect and analyse non-personal data to evaluate how visitors use the operators' website.

Aggregate information

The operators may collect aggregate information and statistics, which relate to information automatically made available by the computer and which cannot be linked to your individual identity. Such information includes, for example, referral data (the addresses of the websites visited immediately before this website), a list of the pages requested and viewed on this website, the time spent on our website, and your IP address. The IP address is a combination of numbers or letters assigned to your device when it connects to the internet. For example, when you request a page, our systems log the IP addresses of the requester in order to produce aggregate reports on estimated demographics and traffic patterns of users, and for the purposes of system operation and system security.

Every time you or your browser requests or downloads files from the website, the operators may store data about these events and their IP addresses in a log file. The operators may use this information to analyse various trends, to operate the website, to fix errors on the website, to track user movements, and to compile aggregated estimated demographic information for aggregated or other business purposes. Logging is carried out automatically.

Cookies and technical storage (localStorage)

This website does not set HTTP cookies. We use the browser's localStorage solely for two strictly functional purposes:
  • To remember your chosen appearance (light / dark theme).
  • To remember that you have taken note of our notice on cookies and technical storage, so that the warning does not appear again on every page load.

These entries do not contain personal data, are not shared with third parties, and qualify as "strictly necessary" storage under the EU ePrivacy Directive, and therefore do not require prior consent. The stored data can be deleted at any time using your browser's data-clearing function.

This website does not use web beacons or pixel trackers. For visitor statistics we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which loads only after your explicit consent. You can grant consent by pressing "Accept" in the cookie notice at the bottom of the page, or decline by pressing "Reject". Consent can be withdrawn at any time by clearing the browser's local storage, which makes the notice appear again and lets you decide again. GA4 cookies (e.g. _ga, ga*) are only placed in your browser after consent has been granted.

Third-party data processors and embedded services

For the operation and display of the website, we use the following third-party providers:
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) — the content delivery network (CDN) and edge cache of the website. In this role, it processes visitor IP addresses and request-related metadata (e.g. User-Agent, URL) on our behalf, in accordance with Cloudflare's own data processing agreement (DPA) and standard contractual clauses (SCC).
  • OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) — the map tiles on the Contact page are downloaded directly by your browser from the OpenStreetMap servers. In this case, your IP address becomes visible to the OSM servers for the purpose of delivering the tiles. OpenStreetMap's privacy policy is available at: wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for website usage statistics, loaded only after your explicit consent. Once accepted, your browser communicates with the googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com domains; Google then processes your IP address (in truncated/anonymised form within the EU), the URLs you visit, browser and device characteristics, and interaction events. Processing is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (TADPF) and Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, after which GA4 no longer loads; previously placed cookies can be removed with your browser's site-data controls.

The website does not call any other external providers (no Google Fonts, no social media embeds, no advertising networks). The fonts (Titillium Web) are loaded from our own server.

How we use your information

The Operators may use non-personal data to produce and display aggregated data for reports on the use, performance and effectiveness of the operators' website, or to improve the usability and content of the website.

The Operators may use personal data to provide services that support members' activities, information provision or collaboration. When members access members-only websites, the Operator may track members' personal user data or their activity on the site (e.g. page requests) in order to support member collaboration, ensure authorised access, enable communication between members and improve the user experience or obtain information about the use of the website.

In the case of a purchase on the website or on our resellers' websites, we record, store and retain the purchase details, identifiers, and the personal data of the buyer (name, address, telephone number, email address) in accordance with applicable legislation. Where it is indispensable for the use of your purchased product (e.g. for USB key activation), we shall hand over the minimum necessary personal data exclusively for this purpose to the third party concerned. The third party is responsible for the lawful further processing of such data. Our payment processing services may be provided by a third-party payment service provider, and companies other than the operators (e.g. card companies) may also support the operators' financial activities. The operators may share your personal data with their partners in order to establish or facilitate transactions, or in order to comply with legal requirements.

Data retention period

In connection with our websites and their services, we store your personal data for as long as you use the service and are in a subscribed state, or for as long as required by statutory obligations. Certain data we retain even after the termination of the service you used, in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Information relating to invoices and shipping arrangements is stored for 8 years.
  • Complaint records are stored for 5 years.

Information sharing

The Operators do not sell, rent or lease the personal data or email address lists of individuals to anyone for marketing purposes, and, in compliance with statutory requirements, take commercially reasonable steps to maintain the security of this information. However, the Operators reserve the right to transfer any such information to any organisation with which the operators merge, consolidate, or to which they transfer such information in the future as part of a corporate restructuring, in order to enable the third party to continue all or any of these functions. We reserve the right to disclose personal data in order to protect our system or our business if we reasonably believe that you are violating our terms of use, or if we reasonably believe that you have initiated or participated in any illegal activity. In addition, please note that in certain circumstances the Operators are obliged to disclose personal data on the basis of a court or other official order.

For transparency purposes, the Operators handle some of their activities in the form of publicly accessible archives. For example, sending an email message to public mailing lists or forums operated by the Operators may result in some of your personal data becoming part of publicly accessible archives.

On some websites, anonymous users are also permitted to post content and/or participate in forum discussions or comment. In such cases, since no username can be associated with such a user, the user's IP address serves as identification. When you send such content or messages to the operators' site anonymously, your IP address may be made public.

If you are a registered member of an operator's website or mailing list, you should be aware that certain elements of your personal data may be visible to other members and to the public. The operator's member database retains information about your name, email address, company membership (if you represent an organisational member) and other personal addresses and identifiers that you have provided. This data may be visible to the operators' members and to the public.

Please note that any information (including personal data) disclosed in the public areas of our website, for example in forums, message boards and newsgroups, constitutes publicly disclosed information, which may be collected, transmitted and used by others. Since we cannot and do not control the actions of others, you must exercise caution when deciding to publicly post such information about yourself or others in such public forums.

Given the international scope of the operators' websites, personal data may also be visible to persons outside your country of residence, including persons in countries whose own data protection laws and rules may be deemed inadequate to ensure an adequate level of protection for such information.

Your rights and remedies in relation to personal data

You may exercise your rights regarding our data processing by a request sent to the email address support@inspiredacoustics.com, or via another contact of the Data Controller, e.g. in writing, by registered or registered-with-return-receipt letter sent to the postal address of the data controller (1301 Budapest 30., Pf. 32.). The data controller is obliged to reply to a question relating to data processing within 30 days of receipt. In certain special cases, your rights in relation to your personal data may be limited by certain applicable statutory conditions. Your rights are:
  • Access: on the basis of Article 15 of EU Regulation 2016/679, at your request we shall provide information on the scope of the personal data we process, the purpose, legal basis and duration of the processing, and other relevant matters.
  • Rectification: you have the right to obtain, at your request, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you.
  • Erasure: you have the right to obtain, at your request, without undue delay, the erasure of personal data concerning you. Exceptions to this are cases where the law requires us to retain your data.
  • Restriction: you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data. This will generally occur where erasure of the data would prejudice your interests.
  • Data portability: you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit it, or have us transmit it, to other data controllers.
  • Objection: you may object to the processing of your personal data — including profiling or direct marketing — if our processing does not arise from a statutory obligation.
If you have any comments, complaints or rectification requests regarding the content of our website, please contact us; we shall reply to you within 30 days at the latest.

If we infringe your rights in relation to personal data, or fail to fulfil them, you may turn to the courts to enforce your rights. Where damage has arisen from your own negligent conduct, you may not claim damages.

Access to information and accuracy of data

We are committed to keeping the personal data of our members up to date and accurate. All information provided to us may be verified and modified by you. If there is no interface where you can do this without our personal involvement, please send us an email requesting the modification. In most cases we provide members with online access to their own profile, allowing them to update or delete information. In order to protect the members' data and information, we may take reasonable steps to verify identity, such as checking the user ID and password, before granting access to modify personal profile data. Certain areas of the operator's websites may restrict access by means of a password or other personal identifier.

Unsubscribing

From time to time, the Operators may send you electronic newsletters, announcements, surveys or other information. If you do not wish to receive such information in the future, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions provided in the electronic newsletters and announcements.

If you have any questions in the future regarding data processing, please contact us.

Security

The Operators make all reasonable efforts to protect personal data, including the use of firewalls and other security measures on their servers. Nevertheless, complete security cannot be guaranteed for any server, and you should take this into account when providing personal or confidential information about yourself to any website, including this one. The operators accept no liability for protecting the information you provide against interception, alteration or misuse. You alone are responsible for the confidentiality of your personal data. Please use the website with care and provide personal data with care.

In the event of a data protection incident, we shall act in accordance with Article 33 of EU Regulation 2016/679.

Data processing relating to children

The operators are committed to protecting the data protection needs of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. The Operators do not knowingly collect data about minors, and the Operators do not specifically target this website at children.
