Radio Spectrum Strategy 2011-2015 for NMHH

In cooperation with experts from the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), Hungary we developed its Radio Spectrum Strategy from 2011 to 2015 in multiple work phases. Our activities included the development of a preliminary strategic concept as well as creating executive summaries and presentations as a result of numerous consultations.

Preparatory studies for the new spectrum strategy of NMHH

We have developed a preliminary study to support the new spectrum strategy of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) highlighting the field’s significance. The study provides an overview of the current situation and also includes impact analysis. While commencing the effort an interactive consultation was organized for industry professionals with the participation of experts of NMHH.

Professional concept for the regulation of value-added communication services

Regulation of value-added services sold together with electronic communications services and/or linear audiovisual media services. We prepared a basic concept and then a professional proposal and analysis for the NMHH, in which we examined how our earlier proposal for the regulation of value-added services sold together with electronic communications services could be extended to the regulation of value-added services sold together with linear audiovisual media services. The basic concept places value-added services in the regulatory system of media regulation, electronic communication regulation, information society-related services, and presents possible basic sales models through examples. The detailed proposal describes the typical services, domestic and international practice and jurisprudence, the related regulatory areas, the basis, purpose, scope, tools, concepts and justification of the regulation.

Regulation of value added services sold together with a communications service

We have developed a technical proposal to the Communications Authority to regulate value added services sold together with electronic communications services. The proposal establishes the need and justification for regulating value-added services sold together with electronic communications services, which are outside the scope of communications regulation and are becoming increasingly important. It presents the national and international picture, the proposed regulatory tools, options and constraints.

Study on the status of telecommunication ducts

Entel prepared a study on international and national regulation and status of telecommunication ducts, and on alternative infrastructure solutions, which are capable to substitute telecommunication ducts.
